Who runs this website

This website is operated by Jake Phillips, trading as SUBSHIFT Music. For product support, booking questions or privacy enquiries, email subshift@subshiftmusic.com.

Information we use

Website requests can include your IP address, browser information and requested pages. Hosting and security services use this information to deliver the site, investigate errors and prevent abuse. Our basis is our legitimate interest in running a reliable, secure website.

We use the information you provide in enquiries and bookings to answer you and arrange the requested service. Order details made available by Lemon Squeezy, including your name, email, purchased product and order reference, are used to fulfil purchases and provide support. These uses are necessary to take steps at your request or provide your purchase or service. Records required by law are kept on that basis. We do not receive your full payment-card details.

Website services & cookies

Vercel hosts the site. Sanity supplies product information, artwork and audio previews. Google Fonts and Fontshare supply fonts and receive connection information when they load. Audio previews load when you interact. YouTube videos connect only after you select “Load YouTube video”. No advertising or analytics tracking is installed on this storefront.

Mentoring bookings open Calendly, which collects your booking details and answers to arrange the session. Booking does not collect payment; payment is arranged with SUBSHIFT afterwards. External providers have their own privacy notices, including information about processing locations and safeguards: Vercel, Sanity, Calendly and Lemon Squeezy.

Payments, delivery & support

Project purchases use Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. Enter payment details on its secure hosted checkout. Prices are in GBP; the final total, including applicable taxes, is shown before payment. Each project is a one-time purchase with no subscription. Lemon Squeezy provides your receipt and access to the purchased ZIP after successful payment. Extract the ZIP and open the Live Set in a compatible version of Ableton Live with the required plugins installed.

Check the listed software version and plugin requirements before buying. Third-party plugins and licences are not included. If a download is missing, damaged or does not match its description, email us with your order reference. Cancellation and refund requests are handled through Lemon Squeezy under its buyer terms and applicable consumer law. Nothing on this site limits your statutory rights.

Copyright & permitted use

Project files are for personal learning and private experimentation. They are not royalty-free sample packs. Do not release or claim the supplied track, a modified version, remix, audio or MIDI as your own. Do not share, resell, redistribute or repackage the files. Copyright remains with the respective rights holders. Purchase does not transfer copyright, clear third-party samples or grant release rights. Other uses need permission from the relevant rights holders.

The Odd Frequency sample pack is sold on its own website under its own licence and purchase terms. The restrictions above describe the project files sold here.

Retention & your rights

We retain information only as long as needed for the enquiry, purchase, service or applicable legal and accounting requirements. Routine support correspondence is normally kept for up to 24 months after the last contact, unless needed for an ongoing issue or legal obligation. Providers manage their records under their own retention policies.

You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a portable copy of your information where the right applies. You can also object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact subshift@subshiftmusic.com. You can raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
